Bunnies: Phoning

Phoning was launched on July 25th, 2022. The mobile application was built in collboration by ADOR and WEVERSE COMPANY.

The app has a nostalgic interface that is reminiscent of the early 2000s/y2k web services, and is meant to recreate the sense of candid communication between friends.

Phoning offers machine-translation services for text-based messages and comments written by the members and the other users.

FEATURES

Phoning LIVE

Phoning LIVE is a “call” between the members of NewJeans and the Bunnies. The “call” (livestream) could be in the form of a video call or audio call.

The call could come from NewJeans as a group or the individual members. The members often host birthday livestreams or anniversary livestreams as a group.

From January 25th, 2024, only paid subscription users can participate in the live chatroom during the livestream.

Free users can access replays of livestreams 14 days after the stream ends; paid subscription users can access the replays immediately after.

Chats

Phoning offers “chatting” service with NewJeans, much like other fandom services such as Bubble.

Fans may “write back” replies to NewJeans in the chatroom, which will be visible to the members. The interface is created to give the feeling of 1:1 communication.

Only paid subscription users can access chatrooms with individual members.

Photo Album

Phoning offers photo albums, on which members of NewJeans upload exclusive photos.

Only paid subscription users can access photo albums of individual members.

Calendar

Phoning offers a calendar of NewJeans’ official activities as a group and as individual members, as well as self-produced content upload schedule.

Only paid subscription users can access the content of the “individual schedules” of the members, which are often long-form messages written in the form of a calendar schedule, written by the members themselves.

The members often write back to the comments under a calendar schedule.

Podcast

From May 13th, 2024, Phoning offers Podcast by NewJeans, on which each member gets an individual podcast series on different topics.

Podcast is only available to paid users.

PAID SUBSCRIPTION

All features of Phoning were free of charge until November 30th, 2022. From December 1st, 2022, most features became accessible to paid users only.
