CAREER SUMMARY
PRE-DEBUT
I.N had some experience with modeling as a kid when he was 7 years old. I.N had been attending an academy in his hometown of Busan and auditioned through in-academy auditions. I.N passed the first round of auditions at Woollim Entertainment and JYP Entertainment. He did not make it through the second round of auditions. Six months later, I.N auditioned again - this time, the JYP Entertainment manager told him after the second round of auditions that he wanted to see I.N get a haircut. After the haircut, I.N made it through the final round of auditions and became a trainee of JYP Entertainment in 2016.
In 2017, he dropped out of his high school in Busan and enrolled in School of Performing Arts Seoul as a vocal major. I.N was originally part of the “kids team” of JYP trainees, but he was chosen by Bang Chan to be one of the debut team to appear on the survival audition program Stray Kids. I.N was a trainee for approximately 2 years before debut.
AFTER DEBUT
n 2018, I.N debuted as a member of Stray Kids, an 8-member group under JYP Entertainment, with Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, and Seungmin with “District 9.” He is part of the unofficial sub-unit VOCALRACHA, and is known for his vocal tones (the “vocal tone fairy” of Stray Kids). Upon debut, he received attention for his visuals with the “fennec fox type face.”
I.N is interested in exploring the genre of trot music, and his vocal tones has been said to fit the genre well. In 2020, He appeared as one of the contestants on the trot audition program Favorite Entertainment.
In 2021, I.N released “Maknae on Top” (feat. Bang Chan, Changbin) on the group album SKZ-REPLAY. The music video for “Maknae on Top” became the most successful of Stray Kids songs released through SKZ-PLAYER, with close to 50 million views as of April 2024.

VOCAL
As part of the unofficial sub-unit VOCALRACHA, I.N is one of the vocal line members of Stray Kids. He has a distinctive tone, characterized by his fresh and pure voice. His voice is said to complement the other members with stronger, or “rougher” tones. I.N has been praised for his emotional delivery on some of the more sentimental ballads. I.N is also said to be the member that has improved his live singing abilities the most since debut.

Though I.N is not a member of the dance line, I.N has been consistently been praised for his dynamic facial expressions and unique stage presence. He has built more muscle on his frame since debut, and his core strength has greatly improved.
