Food

• Soobin can’t handle spicy food well, and has said that he dislikes having to drink a lot of water from eating spicy food and feeling full afterwards.
• Soobin likes ice cream and bread. He especially likes chocolate ice cream.
  • He doesn’t mind mint-chocolate flavor but would only take mint-chocolate ice cream from Baskin Robbins.
• Soobin likes carbonated drinks, and when he goes to a cafe, he often orders hot chocolate or fruity drinks.
  • Soobin has said that he can’t have a meal without a carbonated drink.
• Soobin doesn’t like Korean soups (국) - saying that he doesn’t like to eat traditional Korean soups such as seaweed soup, doenjang soup, or bean sprout soup.
• Soobin doesn’t like avocadoes or carrots.

Hobbies

• Soobin used to play League of Legends as a trainee. He has said that he prefers AOS games to FPS games.
• Soobin likes Japanese anime and game characters. He has mentioned the Japanese anime Jujutsu Kaisen and its characters on several occasions.

Likes and Dislikes

• Soobin is extremely afraid of bugs.
• Soobin hated the subject of math when he was in school - the one subject he couldn’t become better at even though he studied hard.
  • Soobin liked the subject of Korean and English. He wanted to be a Korean teacher when he was young.
  • Soobin’s punctuation and grammar in Korean are very accurate.
• Soobin does not like the genre of romance when watching shows, movies, or reading webtoons.
• Soobin likes to listen to his favorite songs repeatedly until he becomes sick of them.
• Soobin likes the colors blue, yellow, and white.
• Soobin’s favorite flowers are sunflowers.
• Soobin’s favorite season is fall. He dislikes spring because he is allergic to pollen.
• Soobin likes racoons, and would like to keep two or three racoons at home in the future if he could.

OTHER TRIVIA

• Soobin has an older brother and sister, both of whom are considerably older than him.
  • His brother was born in 1994, and his sister was born in 1990, while Soobin was born in 2000. Soobin has said that his sister has practically raised him.
• Soobin is an introvert and has said that when he first debuted, he had a hard time talking to people first and staying silent in most conversations.
  • The members of TXT have helped him a lot with this, and now he has a much better time socializing with people as an idol.
• Soobin is especially close to his middle school friends.
  • He has picked the local snack restaurant (분식집) that he went to often with his middle school friends as a “place with lots of memories for him.”
  • When he has to travel overseas for work, Soobin always packs the photo album/diary that his middle school friends gifted to him.
• Soobin was a fan of the 2nd-gen girl group KARA, buying albums and merch. When KARA had a reunion for the 15th anniversary in 2022, Soobin went to greet the KARA members in person at the 2022 MAMA and gave each one of the members his handwritten letters. He also attended KARA’s fanmeeting that was held in 2023.
  • Soobin later said that his bias in KARA was Han Seungyeon.
• Soobin was also a fan of BTS, and this has led to him applying to audition at Bighit Entertainment.
  • His bias in BTS was Jin.
• Soobin has said that Bebe Rexha is a musician that inspires him. Bebe has tweeted celebrating his birthdays for 2019 and 2020.
  • In 2023, Soobin actually visited Bebe Rexha at her house, where they filmed a challenge and ate breakfast together.
• Soobin used to have a pet hedgehog called Odi, uploading photos of Odi on TXT’s official twitter account. Odi passed away in 2023.
