MANAGEMENT AND FORMATION

  • TXT’s executive producer is Bang Si-hyuk (”Hitman” Bang), and the main producer is Slow Rabbit.
  • Even though TXT is not a fully “self-produced” group, the members actively participate in the process of song production and writing lyrics.
    • For example, Beomgyu co-produced “Maze in the Mirror” from The Dream Chapter: Eternity with Slow Rabbit, and all of the members participated in the songwriting or the writing of the lyrics. Yeonjun wrote the melody for “Happy Fools” from The Name Chapter: Temptation while the other members participated in the lyrics.
    • For all 5 songs released in minisode 2: Thursday’s Child, the members of TXT participated in the songwriting process.
  • Upon the news of TXT’s debut, TXT received a lot of media attention as “the group to succeed BTS,” even before the official debut.
    • The general perception was that the members would have spent their trainee days under luxury treatment as the popularity of BTS has made Bighit Entertainment, and later HYBE Co., into a huge multinational entertainment company.
    • However, when TXT was first scouted as trainees, Bighit was not the huge company that HYBE has become today, and the members of TXT have had to train under the conditions of a small agency.
  • Soobin and Hueningkai became trainees by auditioning; Soobin through applying by email, and Hueningkai through initially auditioning at a different agency and leaving a favorable impression on a staff member who later moved to Bighit Entertainment. The other three members (Yeonjun, Beomgyu, and Taehyun) became trainees by being scouted by casting managers on the street.
  • The members, in order from first to join Bighit Entertainment as trainees to last, are as follows; the brackets indicate the number of years spent training before debut.
    • Yeonjun (4~5 years) - Taehyun (3 years) - Soobin (3 years) - Hueningkai (2.5 years) - Beomgyu (2 years)

LONG TITLES

  • The official group name, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (투머로우바이투게더), is 17 characters in English and 9 characters in Korean.
  • “Long titles” of albums and songs have become something of a trademark of the TXT brand. This becomes even more evident in Korean, as most of the English titles are much shorter or are not a direct translation of the longer Korean titles.
    • Below is the list of TXT song titles that are longer than 10 characters in Korean and the direct translation of those Korean titles in English.
      • “어느날 머리에서 뿔이 자랐다” / One day, horns grew out of my head
        (official English title: CROWN)
